I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
